Corporate yachting in Venice.

Venice offers a corporate offsite unlike any other in our portfolio: sailing the historic Venetian Lagoon, discovering the colourful islands of Murano and Burano beyond the Grand Canal. Our base is Venezia Certosa Marina, set on a dedicated island a 15-minute water-bus ride from St Mark's Square — a calm green base within sight of one of the world's great cities.

Sailing routes focus on the 550-square-kilometre lagoon, as yacht access to the historic centre of Venice is highly restricted. That constraint is also the appeal: the lagoon's islands, sandbanks and channels are a distinctive cruising ground, quiet and uncrowded compared with the city itself. The season runs from May to September.

Access to the open Adriatic for longer sails is via the three main port inlets — Lido, Malamocco and Chioggia. The combination of a UNESCO-listed city, a sheltered lagoon and short Adriatic passages makes Venice a strong setting for strategy offsites, client events and incentives where atmosphere matters as much as the sailing.

Strategy offsite

Incentive trip

Client event

The gastronomy of the lagoon is built on Venetian tradition — cicchetti, the seafood of the Rialto market, and the wines of the Veneto. For corporate groups we arrange private dinners on the yachts, tastings on the wine islands of the lagoon, and the option of a closed venue in the city for a closing evening, booked well in advance given the demand on Venice's historic spaces.

Logistics in Venice is unusual: there are no cars, and every transfer is by water. VCE airport is 25 minutes from Certosa Marina by water taxi, which makes the arrival itself part of the experience. The restricted yacht access to the centre means programmes are built around the lagoon islands — Murano's glass, Burano's lace and pastel houses, and the quiet of Torcello.

Sailing the lagoon away from the crowds of the centre gave our strategy offsite a focus the city itself could never provide.

Burano at golden hour, pastel houses against the water, was the closing visual of the programme. The board still mentions that evening.

FAQ

What buyers ask us most.

Eight questions we receive every week from HR directors and CEOs. Not finding yours? Drop us a line — we reply within 24 hours.

Why does the programme focus on the lagoon rather than the Grand Canal?
Yacht access to the historic centre of Venice is highly restricted. The 550-square-kilometre lagoon, with its islands and channels, is the sailing ground — quiet and distinctive, and away from the crowds of the centre.
Where is the base?
Venezia Certosa Marina, on a dedicated island a 15-minute water-bus ride from St Mark's Square. It is a calm green base within easy reach of the city.
How much does a programme in Venice cost?
From €500 to €800 per person per night. It includes the yacht, crew, marina fees at Certosa, basic catering and insurance. Private city venues and premium catering are separate line items.
When is the best time?
May to September. June and September give the best balance of weather, prices and the availability of the city's venues. We avoid the busiest festival dates unless a programme is built around them.
What is the language of service?
English at level 4 of 5 with skippers and marina officers. Italian is native. Russian-speaking support is arranged on request ahead of the programme.
