The Croisette and Vieux Port in Cannes with yachts at blue hour — a corporate regatta on the Côte d'Azur
France

Corporate yachting in France.

France means the Côte d'Azur, and for a corporate offsite it primarily means Cannes and Antibes. The Vieux Port de Cannes sits directly across the road from the Palais des Festivals, which opens up unique branding opportunities during the Film Festival, MIPIM, MIPCOM and Cannes Lions — dates we use for hybrid programmes of "sailing by day, conference by evening".

The season runs from May to September, with the coast at its busiest in July and August. Cannes is the best base on the Côte d'Azur thanks to the sheltered Lérins bay, direct access to Antibes and Saint-Tropez, and Nice airport just 30 minutes away. The Régates Royales in September are one of the oldest classic regattas in the world and often the reason a client assembles a corporate flotilla.

The French charter industry is the most bureaucratic in the Mediterranean. Corporate chartering requires registration with the French tax authority 60 days ahead, specific DGAC insurance, and a skipper holding a Yacht Master Offshore Commercial licence. We take all of that paperwork on — the client receives a single invoice at the 20 % VAT rate.

For a media asset, Cannes gives the most leverage: the Croisette, the Palais and the Lérins islands as a backdrop to yachts are recognisable worldwide. We work with three local photographers and one drone operator who specialise in corporate regattas. A standard package is 200-plus photographs and a three to five-minute edited video, ready to publish within five working days.

The gastronomy side in France is a product in itself. We arrange catering at three tiers: standard (€80 per person, local Provençal style), premium (€140 per person, a contract with one of the Michelin-starred kitchens of Cannes), and VVIP (€250 and up, a private chef on board with a tasting menu built to the client's brand).

FAQ

What buyers ask us most.

Eight questions we receive every week from HR directors and CEOs. Not finding yours? Drop us a line — we reply within 24 hours.

When is the best time to plan a programme in Cannes?
May, June and September. July and August are the peak for private yachts, prices 40 % higher, with narrower branding options. September is particularly interesting because of the Régates Royales — a corporate flotilla can sail the same course as the classic yachts, which makes a strong media asset.
Can we overlap with the Film Festival or MIPIM?
Yes — it is one of our signature programmes. Sailing by day, a conference or private dinner at the Palais by evening. Such a programme needs booking at least nine months ahead; berth and hotel prices on those dates are three to four times the baseline.
How much does a programme on the Côte d'Azur cost?
From €600 per person per night in the standard season. During festival weeks it is €1,500 to €2,500 per person per night. The price includes the yacht, skipper, marina fees, basic catering and insurance. Branding, drone filming and premium catering are separate line items.
What is the language of service?
French is native; English is at level 4 of 5 with skippers and destination management companies. Among gastronomy partners the level is uneven, but in Cannes's premium segment all the key restaurants are bilingual. Russian-speaking support is arranged six weeks ahead.
What about regattas?
The standard format is IRC handicap, races of 90 to 120 minutes in the Lérins bay, up to four races per programme. We partner with the Yacht Club de Cannes for access to buoys and start schedules. Branded sails are a standard option, produced in three weeks at a Cannes loft.
