Regatta

Corporate regatta for companies

A friendly race for a fleet of 5-15 yachts built around your KPIs — not a packaged tour. Branded sails, a scoring system with a live leaderboard, a debrief after every race. 247 regattas delivered, and 80% of clients come back.

Format

Corporate regatta: the format and the script

A corporate regatta is not 'charter a yacht and cruise the bays'. It is a designed competition format: 4 days, 5-15 crews, IRC or PHRF rules, daily starts on a signal, a scoring system with handicap correction, and awards dinners. There is one winner, but the KPIs are measured for everyone.

Every crew gets an experienced skipper with an international qualification plus a tactician — a separate specialist responsible for race strategy. The team takes part in the manoeuvres, hoists the spinnaker, runs the tacks. This is not 'a trip out to sea' — it is real sailing, simplified to the level of a corporate audience.

Branding is the core marketing asset. Branded sails (mainsail and jib), flags, dockside banners, and a drone photographer at every race. The output is 200+ high-resolution photos plus a 3-5 minute edited video for social channels and the company site. Many clients use this as the key content asset of the season.

The debriefs after every race are a distinct value for HR. A certified facilitator unpacks not the sailing mistakes but the team dynamics: who made the decisions, how the roles were shared, what got in the way of communication. A pre/post-event NPS reading shows how the team's sense of itself shifts from day one to day four.

Audience

Regatta for employees and partners: who it fits

A regatta suits teams of 30-200 who want a measurable offsite with a branded content asset to take away. Most often it is booked by tech startups, law and consulting firms, and fintech.

Case study · 2025

Eighty partners, one regatta, Côte d’Azur.

A top-tier European law firm marked its centenary on the water: eight chartered yachts, three days of friendly racing, NDA-compliant logistics, and a closing dinner ashore. We delivered under a single contract and a single point of contact for the managing partner’s executive assistant.

Three days at sea changed how the leadership team works together. We’ll be back next year.

FAQ

What buyers ask us most.

Eight questions we receive every week from HR directors and CEOs. Not finding yours? Drop us a line — we reply within 24 hours.

How much does a corporate regatta cost?
The base price starts at €1,800 per person for 4 days — including the yacht, crew, fuel, marina fees, basic catering, sail branding, the scoring system and a photographer. Tell us your group size and we will come back with a range within 24 hours.
What group size works?
A minimum of 30 people (5 yachts) and a maximum of 200+. A typical fleet is 5-15 yachts. For larger groups we bring in partner fleets in addition to our own.
Is sailing experience required?
No. The skipper and tactician on each yacht are professionals. Participants do only what they want to: you can take the helm, hoist the spinnaker, or simply watch and drink coffee. The race rules are simplified for a corporate audience.
What are the race rules?
Standard IRC handicap (correction by yacht characteristics so cruisers and sport cruisers can race on equal terms) or PHRF in Northern Europe. The Race Officer's rules are shared in advance. Races run 90-120 minutes, 1-2 per day.
How is the branding organised?
Branded sails (mainsail and jib) take 3 weeks to produce and are printed at a professional sail loft. Add flags, dockside banners, and corporate dinners with brand touchpoints. A drone photographer shoots every race.
What about the debriefs?
Every day after racing there is a 60-minute debrief with a certified facilitator (ICF, CPCC). It unpacks team dynamics, not sailing mistakes. A pre/post-event NPS reading shows the change.
Which locations are available?
Croatia (Split, Dubrovnik, Hvar), Greece (Athens, Mykonos, Santorini), Italy (Sardinia, Amalfi), Spain (Mallorca, Barcelona, Valencia), France (Côte d'Azur, Cannes) and Portugal (Cascais). The best months are May-June and September-October.
How do we book?
Press 'Get a brief' above. We come back within 24 hours with a price range and a draft itinerary. No credit card, no commitment until the contract is signed.
